As many returning visitors will remember, the estate was once home to our much-loved carnival space — a lively area filled with jungle gyms, laughter, and pizza-making for little ones. It formed part of a chapter in Weltevreden’s story that celebrated family play and casual farm experiences.

Alongside this, the estate has expanded its luxury accommodation, creating a peaceful retreat for those wishing to stay a little longer. Set among the vineyards and gardens, these spaces offer a quiet escape while remaining just minutes from Stellenbosch town — perfectly positioned for both seclusion and exploration.

Families Visiting Weltevreden Estate

While our direction has evolved, families remain warmly welcome at Weltevreden. Children are invited to roam the gardens, share in the beauty of the farm, and stay with their families in our accommodation.

However, we no longer offer dedicated children’s facilities. The carnival area, play equipment, and kiddies menu are no longer part of the estate experience.
