Loft Rooms
The loft rooms are situated in the historic Manor House that dates to 1812. The Manor house at Weltevreden 1692 dates to 1812. It was immaculately restored to pay tribute to its former historic beauty. This includes a meticulously maintained thatch roof. The allure of staying in a building that dates to a historical time is undeniable. It uniquely blends old-world charm and modern comfort, creating an unforgettable experience.
Four rooms are available. The rooms share a lounge area overlooking the front and back lawns of the estate. The rooms are cosy, open-plan rooms nestled beneath a thatch roof. The loft rooms have all the modern luxuries that may be needed.
Guests can expect to access the historic thatch roof Loft Rooms via a steep staircase to the side of the Manor House. These steep staircases are considered a historic feature of Cape Dutch Homes built in the 17th and 18th centuries. Guests who have difficulty walking should take caution and opt for one of our ground floor accommodation options.
The River cottage is situated on the ground floor of a historic building called “The Waenhuis” (The Wagon House). This building dates to 1750’s and could be the oldest building on Weltevreden.
This luxury cottage is spacious and elegantly decorated with period furniture and includes incredible art pieces. The open-plan cottage includes a workspace, kitchenette, fireplace, lounge, private dining room, small reading nook, and spacious bathroom.
This prestigious room is the crown of Weltevreden 1692’s accommodation.
The River Cottage Loft is situated on the first floor of a historical building called “The Waenhuis” (The Wagon House). This building dates to 1750’s and could be the oldest building on Weltevreden.

This luxury cottage is spacious and elegantly decorated with period furniture. The open-plan loft includes a balcony, breakfast nook, lounge, and spacious bathroom with a beautiful, romantic bathtub.
This two-bedroom, self-catering cottage is the most modern of our accommodation options on Weltevreden. The Werf Cottage is ideal for a small family, or a longer-term stay where guests require two rooms. Guests have access to a walled garden and lawn with an outdoor dining table and braai facilities.
